I had another one these the reqularly required me to unplug it and plug it back in to get one of my monitors to come back out of hibernation, and it required external power. So far this one has been great. Doesn't need external power, and have 2 monitors attached that have not yet had any issues after being in hibernation/sleep mode for any period of time.

1 laptop connection and (2) monitors. Great buy vs spending hundreds of dollars.

Provides true 4k video to two external monitors, which was the primary reason for buying it. The USB micro connection seems very stable. I've had some that the slightest bump or nudge causes video interruption. This one seems much better. This might also depend somewhat on the laptop port.

Purchased for use by a college student living in a dorm with a laptop and a 24" monitor plus external keyboard and mouse. Very intuitive to hook up. Also has a small profile to not take up space on his desk in his dorm. Scalable enough to grow with his needs whenever he decides to get another monitor or whatever other devices he may need.
