IH006 FAQs
Do I need Wi-Fi or an app to use this baby monitor?
No. The camera and parent unit connect directly over a 2.4GHz wireless connection for everyday viewing. You do not need to connect the system to your home Wi-Fi network or use a phone app to check the live feed.
How long does the battery last?
The built-in 4500mAh rechargeable battery provides up to 10 hours with the screen on. In audio-only mode, it provides up to 24 hours of use.
What happens in Sleep Mode? Will the screen turn on when my baby makes a sound?
Sleep Mode turns off the display to help save power while audio from the baby's room continues to play through the parent unit. This model does not use sound detection to automatically wake the screen. When you hear your baby, press any button to wake the display and check the video feed.
Can I hear my baby breathing?
We designed a 7 level volume system so parents can adjust the sound to high volume to hear if your baby is coughing and breathing. This can also help to awaken heavy sleeper parents. In normal conditions, you can adjust the sound to low volume so you don't have to hear everything in your baby's room.
Can I add more cameras?
Yes. You can pair and toggle between up to 4 compatible VAVA 720P cameras. Auto-Pilot camera cycling lets you check paired camera views in turn. This system is not compatible with the 8-inch 1080P Baby Monitor IH020 or the 1080P Add-on Camera.
What is the monitoring range?
The monitor has up to 300m of range in an open area. Actual range can vary with walls, metal objects, home layout, and nearby 2.4GHz devices.
Should I choose this monitor, the PRO model, or the Split Screen model?
Choose this standard 720P monitor for one main nursery and a dedicated 5-inch parent unit. Choose the Split Screen model when you need to watch two rooms, two children, or two views at the same time.
