Nowadays, the number of families having TV is falling off a cliff. Instead, people are more interested in— 4K Ultra Short Throw Projector.

Do I need a short throw projector?

How Much Space Do You Need for a Projector?

The main reason for people to skip projector is that their living room is not big enough.

Most projectors need to be 4m from the screen to get a 100-inch to 120-inch image.

That’s not going to work in a living room that is less than 4m wide.

However, we have short throw and ultra-short throw projector which allow to project a large image within a few inches.

We only need a superior projection screen for a ultra short throw projector!

Is projection screen necessary? Can I just use a plain white wall? The answer is absolutely yes!It will run but you won’t get the best performance out of it. Brightness, contrast and color Saturation of the image will be reduced. So it’s better to have a projection screen.

How to choose a 4K Laser Projector?

There are 3 parameters you need to consider: Lumen(Brightness) / Resolution / Contrast Ratio.

Lumen can be understood as brightness. Under daylight environments, projector with higher luminance output projects better image. You can’t see the image when lumens are low. However, we usually pull the curtains to create a cinema-like environment. Therefore, regular home-use projector which equip with 1000-3000 Lumen will be satisfactory (VAVA 4K UST Projector Up to 6000 Lumen).

Contrast ratio is the difference between light and dark. Projectors with higher contrast ratio are better and more expensive. You need to consider this when you buy it.

Resolution is the number of dots or pixels used to display an image. Projectors with higher resolution project cleaner and crisper images. 1920 X 1080 will be sufficient for home use. If you want a better visual experience, we suggest you to choose ultra short throw projector with 3840 X 2160 resolution.
