Halloween is coming up, and some of you take it seriously. From turning your home into a haunted mansion to costumes for the whole family, there are many ways to get into the spooky spirit. Including, of course, the list of Halloween movies, classic and new, to queue up on your VAVA projector. Here are some of our picks.

The Nightmare Before Christmas

Searching for something spooky but still kid-friendly? Look no further than Tim Burton’s The Nightmare before Christmas. The title might be misleading, but make no mistake, this is definitely a Halloween-appropriate movie. The story follows Jack Skellington, King of Halloween Town, who stumbles across Christmas Town and the adventure that ensues. The stunning visuals of a VAVA projector will bring the stop-motion magic to life.

Get Out

Considered on multiple listings to be one of the best films of the 2010’s, Get Out boasts a whopping 98% on Rotten Tomatoes. Chris Washington, a young Black man, travels with his new girlfriend to meet her white family for the first time. What starts out as a meet-the-in-laws type comedy turns into something much more sinister. Sit back and watch this award-winning Jordan Peele film with the eerie soundtrack coming from VAVA projector’s state-of-the-art built-in sound system.

The Ring

It doesn’t get much scarier than The Ring, a story about a journalist who investigates a fatal curse: a videotape that condemns its viewer to a gruesome death seven days after watching it. If you like jump scares, supernatural horror, and young girls with long hair climbing out of your TV, this might be the thriller flick for you.

You

If you like your scary media in a show format, try You, a Netflix Original series about a serial killer who comes off as an unassuming bookstore manager. Each season is more suspenseful than the last; Season 3 just aired on Netflix and the widely-watched show has been confirmed for a Season 4!
